Although I reluctantly leave the greatest university on the planet, University of Dayton, I, Sarah Marie Deak am ready to move from one amazing community to the next.

The second of five children, I love singing and traveling and frequently fool myself into enjoying a run. After a recent visit this summer, I fell in love with the country of Ireland and aspires to soon attend the National University of Ireland in Galway to further my education in human rights.

Although I may not be a football fanatic, I won’t miss a Notre Dame game. I love movies (especially those directed by Wes Anderson) and enjoy musicals (Broadway, anyone?). I dislike waking up past 10am, recyclables thrown in the trash and USC. I love sibling comrade, finding a new favorite song and UD in the springtime. I am nervous, excited, scared and finally ready to start my year of learning, loving and growing with DVUSA!
