Sarah is from Davis, California and graduated with honors from Santa Clara University with majors in History and French and a minor in Women’s Studies. Sarah spent a semester studying in Burkina Faso, continuing to volunteer with a non-profit located there after graduation making children’s photo books. Her honors thesis was on the expansion of women’s rights as bicycle culture developed in the United States during the early twentieth century.

She is serving in New York, NY, at Fort Greene SNAP, a community center with financial literacy and maternal health classes, among other social services. She will be sharing community at Bethany Convent in Queens with the Dominican Sisters of Amityville.
