Abby attended Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois and graduated with a degree in Psychology. During her time at Dominican, she immersed herself in service learning by volunteering at organizations in Chicago and becoming involved in University Ministry. The ball started rolling when she went on a service trip to New Orleans where she witnessed the injustices faced by individuals pre and post Hurricane Katrina. Going into her senior year, she attended the Dominican Preaching Conference and learned how to utilize her interests and skills into SLAM (Student Leadership and Ministry). Her senior year, she was the co-leader of SLAM’S Service and Justice Group.
She is now working at Immaculate Conception Academy in San Francisco, CA as a Guidance Counseling assistant, chaperoning for the Corporate Work Study Program, tutoring and a member of the school’s Girl Rising club.
