As a Dominican Volunteer alumna or alumnus, there are several unique ways to be involved with DVUSA. They include recruiting, networking, and other forms of support. We also welcome your suggestions!

 

Recruiting:

Tell people about DVUSA and your experience as a volunteer

Recruit at a local university or volunteer fair

Speak with prospective volunteers interested in your ministry site or a similar ministry position

 

Connecting with Other Alumni:

Make sure DVUSA has your current contact information

Join our e-newsletter distribution list

Write an article or blog post about your experience as a volunteer or how you are currently impacted by your volunteer year

Connect with DVUSA and other alumni on LinkedIn

Host an alumni event

Attend an Alumni Retreat (held the Friday-Sunday of the volunteers' Closing Retreat when available)

Become an Alumni Volunteer

Reconnect with alumni you know to get them more involved in DVUSA

 

Connecting with Current Volunteers:

Host volunteers for dinner or an event

Send holiday cards or messages of encouragement to the DVs

Provide spiritual direction for current volunteers

Lead a session for the volunteers at Orientation or Closing Retreat

Present on a social justice topic for the volunteers and their communities during Advent or Lent

 

Support DVUSA:

Donate your time in the office

Help us refine our curriculum/programming for the volunteers

Become a Torchbearer

Help us name and develop our in-the-works alumni giving club!

Fundraise for DVUSA via Crowdrise with your next marathon, birthday, or just because!
