I was excited to join DVUSA in 2010 as director after a variety of educational, volunteer, and professional experiences.  My formation consisted of a bachelor's degree from Indiana University in economics and religious studies.  After graduation, I immediately left for Panama in the Peace Corps to organize a community in constructing a 3-mile water distribution system with the indigenous Ngabe people.  Having decided to pursue a career in nonprofit management, I returned to Indiana University to earn a master's degree in public administration.  There I married my college sweetheart Angela (who waited for me through Peace Corps!), and her calling inspired both of us to join the Dominican  Volunteers USA in 2008.  We jointly served in the Bronx community, Angela as a nurse with Dominican Sisters Family Health Services, and me as a program assistant at the Highbridge Community Life Center.  Upon completion, I worked as the Director of Community Involvement with a Cleveland community development corporation until discovering that a position was open with DVUSA.  I am more than excited to be receiving a torch passed on from Dominicans centuries ago, and I pray that God grant our spiritual family the grace to let the flame burn for centuries more.
